I am a guy who received help in a very similar circumstance. GOD bless the guy that helped me.

It was about 10 years ago and i was stuck about 20 kms away from the city with no petrol in my scooter. Along comes a guy with bloodshot eyes on a bike. He looks like a goonda from the movies and i am wondering what next. The guy stopped and gave me enough petrol to get to a petrol station. I was in college at that time and money was scarce and I never got a chance to repay the kind man after that. He never bothered to ask either.

Moral of the story: Never judge a man by his looks.

All I have to say on this is: You see what you want to see. There are all kinds of people around us.
When you try to look for the good and generous, you\\\\\\\'ll definitely find one and vice-versa.
Let me share a similar incident here.
It was 13 May 2010 afternoon. I was returning from Agra to Delhi. It was very frustrating as the train reported more than 3 hrs late at Agra Cantt station and I was travelling in a non AC coach. To add problems, I had to join office the same day.
Faridabad station was approaching, the train again slowed down. Most of the people were hurling abuses at the Railway Minister and I couldn’t agree more. An old lady in a white salwar suit boarded the train. She was short of breath and had an empty looking bag in her hand. She asked for water and the boy sitting next to me happily gave her. Trouble and sadness was written on her face.
After a while she asked me if this training was going till New Delhi Rlwy station, I informed her that this train would end at Nizamuddin Rlwy station. I asked her where she wanted to go in Delhi so that I could suggest her whether to alight at Nizamuddin or go to New Delhi. That was the moment she had started crying, I couldn’t understand why? Did I say something wrong? I knew I didn’t.
So, I told her how to reach New Delhi. But, I couldn’t resist myself from asking her why she was crying.
Still crying, she told me that all her belongings were stolen while travelling from Jammu to New Delhi as she had slept during the night. She belonged to Dewas (City near Indore) and she had to change trains at New Delhi. She boarded the train to Dewas by finding her name in the reservation chart but she had lost the ticket and her ID proofs. When TT came to check the ticket, she told him the complete story. But he didn’t believe her and asked to get down from the train and lodge an FIR with Rlway Police at New Delhi.
So, she boarded this train to go to New Delhi. I wanted to help her and offered her my cellphone in case she wanted to make a call. She called her family at Dewas and informed them of the mishap. But they could only reach a day after. She had no money with her. I asked her what she wanted to do. She said she just wanted to reach home. So, I offered to buy her a ticket from Nizamuddin to Dewas. To which she happily agreed and gave me so many blessings. I might have cried if she didn’t stop in time. I left her at the ticket counter queue and gave her the required amt of money as I was already late for office.
While going back to my house, I thought I should have taken her name, address and phone # so that I could track if she reached home safely or not. It was too late, now all I have is a phone # (0731-2802073) that she dialed from my cell. Whenever I dial this number it rings but ends in a fax machine kinda noise. I wonder what might have happened!
When I shared this incident with my friends some of them said I was an Idiot and was duped by that lady and that she was a fraud. I didn’t believe any of them coz I don’t want to. I still try that number whenever I can and hope that lady will pick up the phone someday :-)
