Hi, My name is Vishwajeet Singh and I am an entrepreneur by heart. I love opensource technologies and feel that everyone should contribute to opensource in some way or the other.

As of now my contibution to opensource is mostly through Subversion forum where I try to solve the problem which people face using Subversion. I am among the top ten posters on this forum :) .

I believe that learning in itself is an art thats why I named this blog as learning is an Art. I am presently working on Application life cycle Management so you will find a lot of stuff related Software development life cycle.

My core competencies involve tools like Subversion, JIRA, Apache, Tomcat, PostgreSQL list goes on and Integration of these tools on enterprise level. I am totally a SCM guy but still I know how to write good code; big fan of Python and Perl other than these I have also tried my hands on JAVA, C, C++ but really not a champion on these but I am learning.

I am of the belief that learning is a life long process and you should keep updating your knowledge portfolio as rightly described in book Pragmatic Programmer.

I am available for consulting for following tools

  • Subversion, CVS, other version control tools
  • Maven, Ant build systems
  • JIRA, Confluence, JSPWiki
  • JIRA plugin development
  • JIRA migrations from Bugzilla and other legacy systems
  • VSS to Subversion migration, CVS to Subversion migration
  • Apache httpd and tomcat server
  • Platforms: Windows, Linux

I also willing to take occasional trainings on Subversion and JIRA user level as well as administration level.
